Planning and implementation for the 2nd ecumenical church convention in munich

May 12, 2010 | Religion

From 12 to 16 May this year, more than 160,000 Christians attended the 2nd Ecumenical Church Convention in the Bavarian capital. At 200 venues spread throughout the city, the organizers offered visitors a varied program. A particular challenge was the planning and support of the main venue on the Theresienwiese. The venue was designed for 200,000 visitors. Both opening and closing services, as well as various major concerts, such as the Wise Guys, Christina Stürmer or Nena, had to be coordinated technically and logistically.

With Torsten Hagedorn, the agency for event technology dlp motive from Karlsruhe had an experienced production manager on site, who coordinated all processes over the entire period. In advance, the full-service provider was responsible for the planning of the event site, the design of audio, lighting and video technology and the planning of the entire infrastructure.
