ESL has selected dlp motive as its technical service provider. The extensive specifications included the stage construction with 300 square meters on several levels, based on designs by ESL, the rigging with 500 linear meters of trusses and 100 motors, the sound reinforcement of the arena with D&B equipment, the illumination of the stages and spectator area with 500 fixtures (Martin, Robe, Arri, JB), the media display with 2 delay projections and 250sqm LED in 3.1mm and 2.4mm pixel pitch and the equipment with a 400sqm grandstand for the spectators. In addition, there was the camera-optimized illumination of studio situations for the classification and commentary of the games. Especially with the stage, emphasis was placed on flexible lighting and design. On the eve of the fair, the “ONL” event took place on stage. There were no player positions or similar, but the focus was on speaker positions and the latest game trailers. During the trade fair there were 5v5 setups as well as 1v1 setups and discussion rounds, which of course had individual needs.
