180,000 visitors from 70 nations made a pilgrimage to Frankfurt’s Commerzbank Arena for three days – the largest club in the world was completely sold out. The organizer BigCityBeats invited with the “World Club Dome Space Edition” to a festival experience of superlatives. More than 230 DJs and live acts of various styles and genres provided the festival visitors with the best mood and unforgettable moments. This year’s highlight was the giant floor on the outdoor area, which offered space for up to 15,000 people. The Main Stage Outdoor with a playing area of 17x12m and a total width of 28m was played here. It was the first construction of the stage with completely defect-free TÜV approval. dlp motive was responsible for production and construction (carried out by Creationpark GmbH), as well as for the lighting, sound and video technology. The stage design (light and video) was developed and implemented together with Dominik Döhler. 150sqm LED surfaces with pixel pitch between 5.2mm and 15mm were installed. These were flown in different shapes both in the roof and built in the form of rollable columns. The lighting design consisted of 260 lamps, divided into Robe Point, Robe Spider and Robe LED Beam 150. In order to provide the audience with reasonable sound on the area of 80m width and 65m depth in front of the stage, both with electronic beats and live music, a mixture of the J-System and the V-System from d&b audiotechnik was used. In numbers, these were 56 top- or full-range speakers and 32 bass speakers (3×18″) or INFRA basses (3×21″). In addition, dlp motive was responsible for all technical agreements with the artists and their agencies and stage management.
